Poipet City Administration Removes Billboards after Criticism

BANTEAY MEANCHEY: The Poipet City Administration removed two billboards on August 13, after receiving criticism online and from locals about online gambling advertisements.

Two days before the team removed them, the Poipet City Administration confirmed on Facebook that the advertisements were not licensed or requested by any competent authority.

Located on National Road 5 in front of the Poipet City Customs Office, the billboards were put up with a valid permit via a long-term rental contract from an ad rental company. The municipal administration stated that it is always open to constructive criticism.
